Support Us
There are many ways you can help us preserve and share the heritage of our village and Wye College. You can become a member for a small annual fee and you can also donate to our appeal to help develop our new centre. We would be thrilled to have you as a volunteer and we happily accept donations of items to add to our living archive.
BECOME A MEMBER
We are supported entirely by generous donations and annual membership fees. Annual membership costs just £10 per year, and covers everyone in your household.
As a member you are eligible to vote in our general meetings and help shape the future of our organisation. You will also receive our quarterly email newsletter detailing our displays, activities and meetings.
To become a member, simply fill in the form below and email to us at [email protected]
BECOME A VOLUNTEER
We are staffed entirely by volunteers and if you have some time to spare we would love for you to join us.
Many of our members give their time to help welcome visitors to our open mornings, serving tea and coffee and our famous chocolate brownies. Other members are engaged in working on our archive, cataloguing, researching and helping create our displays.
Do email or visit us if you would like to join us, it’s a great way to meet new friends and get involved in your local community.
ADD TO OUR ARCHIVE
Our archive is growing all the time, principally because of generous gifts from Wye residents and Wye College alumni and their families. We have been glad to receive gifts of documents, photographs and artefacts which might otherwise have been lost.
We would be very happy to accept any items you wish to donate that would enhance our archive. Alternatively we would be happy to scan documents and photographs which you wish to retain but are happy to share.
HELP FUND OUR NEW CENTRE
As part of the planned redevelopment of Wye College, we will be moving to a permanent home in one of the college buildings. This new home will give us the much needed space to be able to expand Wye Heritage and share more of our history with more people.
We will shortly be launching an appeal to raise funds to develop the new centre. If you are able to donate to the appeal, or make provision for a legacy to help us, please do get in touch.
